About Scott Rohe

I am Scott Rohe, a 25 year old editorial portrait and music photographer based out of Phoenix, AZ.
I eat, sleep and breathe everything photography.

“I shoot people…”

Portraits. Music. Fashion. Life.

My career started in 1998 on the internet. I was creating websites in notepad and programming in VB 4 daily. AOL became my life. I was focused on getting out of my hometown of Richmond, IN. I ran several sites considered everything/nothing. Basically just some oldschool blogs with free graphics, programs, etc. I later moved into freelance web work, doing graphic design and coding html, php, css and js.

All that mattered was what was in front of me, I always look forward. I moved out of Indiana in 2005.

In 2006 I created EverythingYourSpace.com. It was a website where users could join and post layouts they created for other members to use on their Myspace profiles. EYS became my full time job and remained so for several years. Then, Myspace died and Facebook took over. The money disappeared. I was young and inexperienced. However, I was determined to find something new. I became sick of the web game.

I picked up my first dSLR in 2007. I was always interested in photography but never truly explored it. I became obsessed with learning again. I wanted to know everything I could. Shortly after, I began working with several pro photographers in the Knoxville, TN area, namely Rick King and Jamie Weiss.

I started shooting weddings, engagements, family photos, anything with people. I shot professionally in TN nearly 3.5 years. Over 200 weddings. While at the same time starting up my own line of work summer of 2009, Scott Rohe Photography [photography by #scøtt.røhe]. I was published for the first time the following winter in ASEE’s PRISM Magazine.

I became addicted to off camera lighting in early 2010. The last half of 2010 was life changing and a turning point. I put the camera down for close to a year.

Late 2011, I picked the camera back up. I moved to Phoenix, AZ early 2012. Now, I have a fresh start and the whole world in front of me. “To live strong, to live forever.”

“Never become so much of an expert that you stop gaining expertise. View life as a continuous learning experience.”
